The Rach Wall!

THE RACHmaninoff WALL !
2015 | 10 x 7 meters | wall installation

This draft project present personal aspects of Rachmaninov life.

The audience runs through a set of contemporary and paradoxal images displayed on a wall. He can choose one and read a quote or a textual explanation related to the image.

These days, everything is black! I hardly work. I am happy to exist. Who knows when and how it will end! (Rachmaninov, 1914)

Rachmaninov… It isn’t fair… Every time I hear it, I go to pieces… It shakes me, it quakes me. It makes me feel goose-pimply all over. I don’t know where I am or who I am or what I’m doing. Don’t stop. Don’t stop. Don’t ever stop! (Marlin Monroe, The Seven Year Itch, 1955)
