JÉRÔME PORSPERGER is a Belgian-born performer artist.
He renews the ways of discovering and enjoying classical music. In the « Invisible Concert », he samples pieces of classical and accompanies it by his operatic counter-tenor voice while performing gestures of ‘’air- conductor’’. He explores also the visual aspects of classical music throughout a production of site specific performances, videos, installations, visuals, interactive and multimedia art.
He is always looking for new ways of sharing classical music, in solo or collaborative way, far from traditional methods, venues and aesthetics.
Porsperger works has been showed and exhibited in diverse contexts across Europe, Asia, Canada and USA.
« A classical music concert hall must live the all day, there must be the opportunity to sit down, to read about it and to listen to it, to relax and to live all kinds of activities. All has to be done in order to invite new audiences to discover the great word of classical music. » (Daniel Barenboim, orchestra conductor)
